Similar
necklaces can be seen in Ginger Moro's "European
Designer Jewelry" on page 64. Each bead is connected
to the next by hand as opposed to being strung on a
single strand. The screw clasp has beads that were custom
fit to go over each side so you don't actually see it
when the necklace is closed. Rousselet is well known
for his magnificent glass beads which he began learning
to make at age eight. The necklace itself is not signed,
however it has never been worn and still bears the original
"Made in France" tag (exactly the same tag
as in Ginger Moro's book) as well as another tag with
the original price of $87.50 on it.
In
excellent condition. Unworn.
