This
interesting vintage pin is an uncommon style with heat
set metal embellishments and a plastic filigree frame.
The chunky lucite center is reverse carved with two
bird figures and then painted yellow. The top is lightly
carved with lines to make it seem as if the birds are
in a cage. Behind the lucite is a metal piece that has
a green/blue foiling, creating an iridescent background
for the birds. Very unusual!
In
very good condition. The pin stem is a little bent but
holds nice and snug and there might have been some foiling
on the back of the brooch that has worn away. This is
not visible from the front.
