This
gorgeous necklace is made up entirely of handmade glass
beads that sparkle due to the addition of copper filings
in the glass. Each one is accented with a brass filigree
bead cap. The addition of clear glass gives these beads
depth. You can also see the subtle variation in color,
size, and shape of the individual beads which gives
this necklace a charm that factory produced items lack.
Can you imagine the time that went into creating each
individual bead?
This
type of glass is generally refered to as "End of
Day" becaus eof the mix of various colors. Often,
beads were made from small bits of glass that were left
over from the day's work.
