This
attractive faux moonstone "Lily of the Valley"
brooch can be seen in a different color variation on
page 209 of Carla and Roberto Brunialti's "A Tribute
to America; Costume Jewelry 1935-1950. Seven lucite
"cat eye" cabochons act as flower buds in
enameled pot metal. Three sparkling rhinestones decorate
the tips of the stems. the A true collector's treasure
from the 40's! Signed on the back in script "Chanel"
although only the "Chan" part is visible.
Chanel Novelty Co. changed their name to Reinad in 1941
according to the resource mentioned above.
